The Child Protection Register
The NESCPC Office maintains the Child Protection Register for Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray areas on behalf on the NESCPC.
The Child protection Register is an administrative process for alerting workers to the fact that there is sufficient professional concern about a child to warrant a multi-agency child protection plan. Placing a child's name on the Register does not in itself protect a child; protection comes from the multi-agency child protection plan.
Only individuals who are authorised by their own agency can access the register and, subject to checks, a call back system is in place to provide the relevant information.
For further information on the Child Protection Register see Review NESCPC Guidelines (Jan 2010) Part 4 - Child Protection Register.
Management Information reports are produced by the NESCPC office for NESCPC Chief Officers every 3 months and once approved, placed on this website in the Public Information section. These reports show trends and analysis in relation to Child Protection Register statistics.
