NESCPC Review

Following a recent NESCPC Development Day, as well as HMIe reports for the 3 local authority areas in Grampian and a desire from those involved with the NESCPC to continually improve the effectiveness of the working of the committee, it has been agreed that a review should take place.

The purpose of this review is:-

"To critically examine the NESCPC to determine if the structures, reporting processes and communiclation flow are fit for purpose, taking account of the new arrangements and expectations surrounding HMIe Inspection of Children's Services, Integrated Childrens Services Plans and Public Protection."

A multi-agency team has been formed to carry out the review, during which an audit of current arrangments in the NESCPC will be carried out and existing arrangements elsewhere in Scotland will be considered. It is anticiapated that the review will be completed in March 2009.

The review team can be contacted at nescpc.review@grampian.pnn.police.uk
