It gives guidance on the assessment, decision making and co-ordination of a multi-agency response to the complex needs of this group. It also gives some explanation of the relating legal issues. It recognises the different roles and responsibilities that different agencies have in relation to sexually active children and young people and advises on signposting to other agencies / line managers to ensure that appropriate advice and service provision is made available to this group.
